Summer Fun

We have been to the pool quite a bit this summer and have had a lot of fun. Jackson took to water like a fish and Austin is getting more and more brave in the water.

Austin's garden has also been growing, growing. In fact, we had some squash that Austin grew the other night. It was so good! Below is the garden, canteloupe, watermelon and tomatoes. YUMMY! I can't wait to eat them!

I'm 5 months old!

I just turned 5 months old. I weigh 19 lbs and am about 26 1/2 inches long. I know I am such a big boy, but not as big as daddy! He weighed in at 20 lbs when he was 5 months. I love to walk around in my walker and look out the window. My door jumper is pretty fun too! I never like to sit still unless I am listening to daddy play the guitar! I am not quite talking yet, but like to have yelling matches with Austin. I can almost sit up all by myself and also got to drink from a sippy cup for the very first time. I love to eat (as you can tell by the pictures). I have liked all the vegetables and fruit that my mommy has given me so far. Not a picky eater yet! oh, and I LOVE to swim in the pool. Mini Me

Jackson has become a "mini me" for Austin. He is so cute. Austin loves to play the guitar. Below is a clip of him picking. I'd say he's pretty good for a 5 year old! As you can see below, Jackson is already starting his career as well. I am going to have a house full of musicians!

Who's who??? These pictures were taken at about the same age for both boys. Can you tell the difference?? Well, I think you can, but they are both pretty darn cute!

A Few Pics

Time is flying at our house! Jackson is already 3 1/2 months old. He went to the doctor today and weighs almost 15 lbs!! He is a BIG BOY. Austin is loving being "big brother" and helps out all the time. Here are just a few pics from the past couple of weeks.

Jackson having tummy time. . .he can now roll over one way from his tummy to his back. In fact, he's been waking up in the middle of the night because he can't get back to his stomach!

Jackson was 3 weeks old on Tuesday. The time has flown by so fast. Austin is the perfect big brother. He loves to feed, burp, hug and kiss his little brother. He can't get enough of being close to Jackson. It is so sweet. We are so thankful to be blessed with our two boys. Here are some updated pics from the last few days.

Austin is giving Jackson his bottle for the night before he goes to bed. This has become a ritual for Austin and Jackson.

And of course, he has to burp him too!

This last picture was taken today. He is 3 weeks, 2 days old.

We have a name!

Jackson Tyler Beard

Yes!!! We finally have a name. . . There are many of you who know, but Austin is the one who named his brother. Apparently, he wasn't meant to be called anything but Jackson.

Jackson's latest sonogram is posted above. (I love the fact that I can now call him by name instead of calling him Baby Beard!) Anyway, at 25 1/2 weeks, he weighed 1 lb, 15 oz and was 12 inches long. Everything looks great. And now we only have 12 weeks to go!! CRAZY!

I also couldn't help but post the picture below of Big Brother. We found a pair of Ricky's glasses from when he was little. Is this Ricky Jr. or what?? I can't believe we will be having another one of these around the house soon.

Balloon Festival

Ricky and Austin watching the kites. . . those were really cool! I can't believe how synchronized the fliers can get those kites.

Austin got to drive this racecar that was sitting outside one of the booths. Yes, we spent a lot of time at this car. Once you get him in one, it's hard to get him out!

They even had train rides!

This part was really cool. They were in the process of blowing up one of the balloon's and Austin got to hold the tether while it went up.

The Truck and Gator

Austin loves riding his truck and usually he only gets to ride it in our driveway. But today, he got to go with Davis and London and ride in a huge parking lot where he could go as fast as he wanted!
